The Arc of DFW Area, an all volunteer organization, is an affiliated chapter of The Arc of the United States
MISSION - The Arc of DFW Area empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to live life as they define it through advocacy, awareness, training and support.
VISION - The Arc of DFW Area envisions an inclusive society where people with intellectual and development disabilities live self-determined lives.
WHO WE SERVE - The Arc of DFW Area maintains a data base of just over 2,000 people to whom we provide information and support.
FUNDING - The Arc of DFW Area is funded through grants, donations and fundraising.
HISTORY - The Arc of DFW Area was established in 1971 by a group of parents who joined forces to advocate for their children’s right to be educated in the public school system. The Arc of today still serves as a voice in the local, state and national community.
